Overview and Prerequisites
Zoiper, the free softphone can be used to make VoIP calls through PBX or SIP.
In order to setup Zoiper integration you need to download Zoiper softphone to your device (desktop / mobile) and obtain SIP credentials from AVANSER.
1. Zoiper download and initial setup
Choose free version and 'Download'.
Once download has been completed, open Zoiper file stored locally on your device and run the installer application.
Follow up the process on the installation via Setup Wizard.
When setup is finalized continue as a 'Free User'.
You may encounter some pop up security access from firewall - please allow access.
To succesfully log to the account you need to provide your AVANSER SIP credentials: username and password.
2. AVANSER SIP credentials and finalize the setup
Access to this tool might be limited. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
if you need your SIP credentials amd do not have access to Self Provisioning.
Find your name on the list and click on a 'pencil' icon - new window will open where you will find your user name > SIP Extension and your password.
If you do not have SIP Account you can create it by clicking on a 'New SIP Account' button or contact us at email@example.com
After you provide required details, click 'login' and you will be asked to fill in your hostname: sip.avanser.com
Next step - Authentication - is not required. Please 'Skip'.
Zoiper will run a quick test and you might encounter configurations that are not found. In this case, please press 'Skip' and continue the process.
Click 'Next' if the SIP configuration have been found.
After that Zoiper will prompt you to perform tests on your speakers / microphone - mandatory and camera - optional.
When tests are finished, your Zoiper account is ready.
3. Start using your Zoiper
Green tick mark visible next to your SIP credentials means the account is setup correctly and can be used. If green tick mark is not there please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
