Audio Security updates - June 2023
As part of our continuous platform improvements, an update to the Audio Download security restrictions was implemented.
Security changes
Security around audio files is now more granular. Users must have access to the Tracking Number (BNUM) that the recording is generated on, as well as to the client account. Previously, the permissions check was done against the client account only.
This security enhancement will ensure that if emails are forwarded or links are shared, only users that have been granted access to the number the recording is associated with.
This security restriction is only enforced when the Access Control is set to something other than "No Security Restrictions" in the Settings > Security Options page.
Customer Portal changes
The Settings > Security Options page was updated with options to restrict access to audio downloads.
